How Therapy Works
In individual therapy, you’ll have the opportunity to talk openly about your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life situations with a professionally trained therapist who is there to listen, guide, and support you. You’ll work together to identify patterns and build healthier coping strategies.
At Inner Strength Therapy, we utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to your needs. We also specialize in Psychodynamic, Somatic Attachment-Based, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. Our therapists offer coaching, empathy, and practical support every step of the way.

Therapy Goals, Frequency, and Duration
The goal of individual therapy is to help you feel better and learn effective tools for
managing your emotions and challenges.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and together with your therapist, we’ll create a plan tailored to your unique needs and goals.
Frequency and Duration: Therapy can be short-term or longer-term, depending on your individual needs and the goals you set with your therapist.
The first session is typically an intake session, where your therapist will gather background information, discuss your emotional health, and address any questions or concerns. Subsequent sessions are generally 50 minutes.
When Does Therapy End?
Therapy helps you feel better and learn how to maintain your progress long-term.
Once you’ve achieved your goals and feel equipped with the tools to manage your symptoms, you and your therapist will discuss whether it’s time to conclude therapy.
If you ever need a “tune-up” session in the future, you’re always welcome to return for additional support.
